Consulting Services

All our consulting packages aim to better your organization and the work you do. Whether you work with Indigenous clients every day, you want to ensure your staff is properly trained in anti-Indigenous racism, you hope to have better Indigenous-employee retention, or you are involved in the legal and constitutional duty to consult and accommodate, our packages allow us to work with you, for you. Our consulting allows us to not only review materials and prepare advice on next-steps and implementation, but also includes training of appropriate staff to ensure your organization is best equipped to make real, lasting changes.

Diversity Consulting

Our Diversity Consulting package allows us to evaluate your organization's practices, policies and culture in order to better your diversity and Indigenous-retention. After reviewing all materials, we will compile our findings and advice in a report as well as conduct a full-day training workshop for upper management on next steps and implementation.

A staff training workshop can be built into the package which will train selected staff on appropriate diversity topics. Depending on your organization and amount of staff, the training workshop can be duplicated for multiple sessions.

Working with Indigenous Peoples

This consulting package allows us to evaluate your organization's practices, policies and culture in order to better your relationship with Indigenous clientele. Whether you are a Bank or Hospital that has Indigenous clients or patients, or you are an Energy Sector Company that often works with Indigenous governance structures, this consulting package is focused on bettering your relationship with Indigenous peoples and governments on all levels. After reviewing all relevant materials, we will compile our findings in a report and conduct a full-day training workshop for upper management on how to implement next-steps.

A staff training workshop can be built into the package which will train selected staff on appropriate diversity topics. Depending on your organization and amount of staff, the training workshop can be duplicated for multiple sessions.

The Duty to Consult and Accommodate

If you are involved in the legal and constitutional duty to consult and accommodate processes, whether you are a government body or proponent, this consulting package is designed to assist you in bettering your consultation and accommodation protocols. Whether you want a review and revision to your generic consultation protocol, or you want to tailor it to a specific Indigenous government or proponent and project, we are here to help. We will review all relevant documents on your organization, the project, and the proponent/Indigenous government involved, assist in re-writing your protocol, and train appropriate staff on the contents of the protocol.

Alternatively, this package can be tailored for a proponent or a non-Indigenous government body who is looking for specific staff training on the duty to consult and accommodate. We will review all relevant materials on you, the types of projects undertaken, and the Indigenous government(s) who may be affected, and assist in creating baseline protocols and training materials for applicable staff. In this package, we will train staff who will be responsible for overseeing consultation processes and/or the training of other staff involved in the process.

For either version of this package, staff training workshops can be built into the package which will train selected staff on appropriate diversity topics, such as Aboriginal Law 101: Land & Rights and/or History 101. Depending on your organization and amount of staff, the training workshop can be duplicated for multiple sessions.
